Company history

Feb. 1938	Kurabe electric factory (600 ㎡ on the site and 250 ㎡ at the factory) established in 2-660 Kojiya-cho Kamata-ku Tokyo. Manufacturing and sales of an electric insulating material (chiefly varnish tube) began.
Jun 1939	Shinkou electric factory in 1231 Shinowara Shinowara-mura Hamana-gun Shizuoka annexed and named Hamamatsu factory.
Mar. 1946	The headquarters moved to the Hamamatsu factory.
May 1946	The trade name changed to KURABE INDUSTRIAL CO.,LTD
1951	Shinohara Factory received the specification of the JIS display permission factory from Ministry of International Trade and Industry.
1960	KURABE started the special electric wire manufacturing. Sales of heat resistant electric wire began on the brand name of WEISER wire and SIEGER wire.
1962	Manufacturing of code-type heating elements began. These elements was adopted for the frost removing device of the refrigerator in our country at first.
1965	Kurabe started manufacturing the synthetic rubber electric wire. Sales of flame retardant EPDM electric wire began on the brand name of "CROWN wire".
Apr. 1968	Absorption amalgamates the Kinki electric wire company. The capital increased to 40,000,000 yen.
Apr. 1970	The trade name changed to KURABE INDUSTRIAL CO., LTD.
1970	KURABE started manufacturing and sales of the fluorocarbon resin electric wire with the brand name of "FLUBON wire" began.
July 1972	The capital increased to 104,250,000 yen.
Jan. 1973	The first stage construction of Hamakita Factory completed and operation begans.
July 1973	The Yuto factory construction completed. The operation begans as a second processing factory.
Jan. 1975	Hamakita Factory received the specification of the JIS display permission factory from Ministry of International Trade and Industry.
Apri. 1979	The second stage construction of Hamakita Factory completed.
Jun. 1981	The capital increased to 200,000,000 yen.
1981	KURABE started manufacturing and sales of the crosslinked polyethylene electric wire with the brand name of "EAGLE wire".
Mar. 1984	The first stage construction of head office building completed. Head office moved to the building from Shinohara Factory.
Jun. 1985	The capital increased to 290,000,000 yen.
Oct. 1985	The third stage construction of Hamakita Factory completed.
Feb. 1986	Sales of the brand name of "NEO SIEGER wire" began.
May 1986	The thermister element developed and sales began as a temperature sensor.
Oct. 1986	The polymer film electrostatic capacity type humidity sensor developed.
Mar. 1987	PTC Heater developed.
Jun. 1987	Start operation of Kanagawa Sales Office and saitama Sales Office.
Jan. 1988	Start operation of yokkaichi Sales Office.
Jun. 1988	Start operation of Fukuoka Sales Office.
Jun. 1988	The capital increased to 380,000,000 yen.
Mar. 1989	"FLUBON wire FRW" developed and sales began. The first stage construction of Shounai factory completed and operation begans.
Apr. 1989	Start operation of Higashi-Osaka Sales Office and Utsunomiya Sales Office.
Jun. 1989	Start operation of Fuji Sales Office.
July 1989	Start operation of Kashiwa Sales Office.
Oct. 1989	Business and research building of Hamakita factory completed.
Nov. 1989	Start operation of Niigata Sales Office.
Dec. 1989	The capital increased to 499,000,000 yen.
Jan. 1992	Business and research building of Hamakita factory completed. The FLUBON building of Hamakita factory extension construction completed.
Feb. 1993	The X-1 building of Hamakita factory extension construction completed.
Aug. 1994	The first stage construction of Miyakoda Factory completed and operation begans.
Mar. 1995	The capital increased to 700,000,000 yen.
Apr. 1996	The Higashiosaka office moved to the Kyoto City. Kyoto office was established. Start operation of Himeji Sales Office
May 1996	Start operation of Nagoya Sales Office.
May 1998	ISO9001 registard at "FLUBON Wires".
Aug. 1998	Start operation of Hachioji Sales Office.
Dec. 2000	Establish KURABE Industrial (Vietnam) Co.,Ltd.
June 2001	ISO14000 registard at Yuto Factory.
July 2001	Complete new factory at Hamakita Factory.
Feb. 2002	Complete phase one constraction of KURABE Industrial (Vietnam) Co.,Ltd.
Nov. 2002	Establish KURABE Industrial (Shanghai) Co.,Ltd.
Dec. 2002	ISO9001 registard at Shinohara Factory and Hamakita Factory.
Mar. 2003	Establish KURABE Trading (Shanghai) Co.,Ltd.
Apr. 2003	Establish KURABE Trading (Hong Kong) Limited
Dec. 2003	ISO9001 registard at Yuto Factory, Shonai Factory and Miyakoda Factory.
Feb. 2004	Complete phase one constraction of KURABE Industrial (Shanghai) Co.,Ltd.
